Insect Collection Chamber for Olfactometers
The LABITEMS insect collection chamber is designed for use with 4-way olfactometer setups to trap and isolate insects that respond to specific odor cues. The unit features a 6mm connector compatible with PTFE tubing and airflow systems and is equipped with a clearly defined mesh insertion zone to prevent insects from escaping or entering the air delivery piping.
Selected insects are gently guided and trapped within the cylindrical chamber, which connects securely to the main olfactometer base. The design allows for easy placement of mesh at the junction, effectively separating insects from the airflow path for clean odor bioassays. The chamber is built using high-quality, laboratory-grade pyrex glass for durability and ease of sterilization.
